ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Matthew Gilbert Herron. was born in 1988 and goes by Matt among his friends. He loves epic fantasies and fast-paced action adventure novels. He loves literature, the dusty vanilla smell of old paperbacks, and turns of phrase that make your skin prickle.

In 2015, he published his first science fiction novel as M. G. Herron, The Auriga Project, a tale of two lovers separated by a galaxy, an uprooted ancient people, and mysterious alien overlords. A technical nonfiction title for writers, Scrivener Superpowers, was released a few months later, in January of 2016.

He’s now working on his third book, a sci-fi adventure called Tales of the Republic, and indie publishing short fiction.

In Austin, he puts together local talks and events for writers through the Indie Author Society, an organization for indie authors that he started on Meetup.com.

He lives in Austin, TX with his girlfriend and their dog, where he likes to spend the cooler days rock climbing in the shade of the local limestone cliffs.
